Hair Restoration

By Biostimulation – Energy to stimulate the Hair & Scalp.

How it works Illumiwave utilizes Laser Photo therapy that generates visible light in the red spectrum, which has been clinically proven to successfully treat hair loss and stimulate the hair follicles to promote hair growth.

Decades of research have confirmed that this particular light is the most effective in encouraging hair growth in the following ways:

1) Increase nutrient uptake by hair follicle By invigorating the hair follicles: The laser light increases the amount of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the fuel of the living cells that eventually make up the hair shaft within the follicle. Scientific studies have been performed showing that increases in the amount of ATP causes the individual cells to increase their activity. ATP is integral to the function of the cell as an“energy transporter”. This process is similar to photosynthesis which causes growth in plants. This creates an enhanced environment within the hair follicle so that it can stimulate hair growth and produce healthy hair.

2) Improvement of blood microcirculation By helping to increase circulation to the scalp: The energy from laser light can help to increase blood flow and circulation in the scalp, which can lead to healthier hair follicles and helps remove harmful elements such as DHT, the hormone responsible for hair loss. Hair follicle weakening can occur in the scalp’s vascular network when the enzyme 5alphareductase converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT disrupts the binding of essential proteins and nutrients to cells in the follicle. In time, this lack of nutrients leads to a weakening of the hair in the follicular site.

Regeneration of new and healthier cells in the scalp can increase hair quality, hair thickness and hair regrowth.Biostimulation using lasers at 650nm and 670nm wavelengths are reported to increase nutrient transport and cellular ATP production of cells in the intermembrane space of the scalp. Furthermore, increased ATP synthesis dramatically increases the mobilization of calcium ion (Ca2+) stores and cell signaling cascades that lead to increased protein production, intracellular nutrient acquisition and cell proliferation. This process ultimately leads to a decrease in DHT dependent disruption offollicular protein and nutrient loss and to the maintenance of healthy scalp hair.
